Southern Oregon - Dec 2007 : Grants Pass is the county seat of Josephine County, Oregon. Located on Interstate 5, northwest of Medford, the city population was 23,003 in 2000 and 30,930 in 2006 making it one of the fastest growing cities in Oregon. Early Hudson's Bay Company hunters and trappers, following the Siskiyou Trail, passed through the site beginning in the 1820s. In the late 1840s, settlers following the Applegate Trail began traveling through the area on their way to the Willamette Valley. The name was selected to honor General U.S. Grant's success at Vicksburg and a post office was established on March 22, 1865.

Sedona, Arizona : Sedona, population 10,000, is a city and community that straddles the county line between Coconino and Yavapai counties in the northern Verde Valley region of Arizona. Founded in 1902, it has become a gathering place for mystics, who believe some of the earth's energy, as it flows around the rocks is concentrated into power spots some call vortices. Believers in Vortex Healing believe the Sedona area is the home of several such vortices. One of Sedona's main attractions is its stunning array of red sandstone formations, the Red Rocks of Sedona. The formations appear to glow in brilliant orange and red when illuminated by the rising or setting sun.
